The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for administering the implementation of and maintaining and further developing Roadtec's new ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 system personally or in conjunction with his/her supervisor.
The BSA handles AX ERP functional help requests from AX ERP Leads with timely solutions and works with teams to partake in developing technology that will create efficiencies in key areas, such as the warehouse sales. He/she identifies ERP applications and integrated technology opportunities and solutions for resolving complex business problems and creates, reviews and follows through on system development to make sure all projects fit the future goals and minimize customization for ongoing maintenance of systems. Ensure all customizations are well documented and follow the SOX change management processes as defined by Corporate SOPs.
The BSA researches, recommends and designs hardware and software systems including process improvement and upgrades and ensures systems are kept as up to date as is reasonable and beneficial to the company. All software must be evaluated and should have a recommended upgrade/update/ requirement for IT Admins to follow. He/she plans, develops and executes system regression, integration and acceptance testing; creates ERP systems documentation (including as-is/to-be process documentation); develops and writes training documentation and trains users.
The BSA contacts and works with vendors to resolve software issues with delivered functionality and coordinates pilot testing then creates procedures to address the implementation of new products and/or upgrades, user enhancement requests and defect tracking. He/she provides guidance to lower-level ERP staff, which includes performing work reviews and performing project management duties.
The BSA learns the business and processes to recommend and help implement further development of system and writes and modifies complex reports, dashboards and form customizations, including maintaining tables, data cubes, view and queries, etc. in AOT. These reports will likely be maintained in SSRS.
The BSA helps resolve user issues, assists in maintaining user roles and functionality and understands and utilizes best practices in relational database management. He/she coordinates and documents all changes to base ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX) and creates comprehensive technical system documentation and provide training to staff.
The BSA plans, studies and recommends business system process improvements (i.e., CRM, GL, MRP, HR, Document Management, Microsoft Dynamics AX, etc.) and assists in the design and implementation of IT software infrastructure. He/she provides reports to management, accuracy and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and other key reporting needs.
The BSA assists Production/Inventory Control in establishing internal control procedures and source documents for inventory valuation and income determination--validation of MRP processes and analyzes changes in software design or services provided to determine effects on business operations. Recommend or develop cost efficiencies through new software, procedures or programming. He/she identifies labor-reporting information requirements and recommends improvements or alternatives to the existing barcode system.

A.S./A.A. degree in computer science, business or related field required, B.S./B.A. degree in computer science, business or related field preferred.
Experience on one or more Dynamics AX implementations and experience with an ERP system, preferably in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education or relevant work experience required.
2+ years of Dynamics AX 2012 functional and technical experience and 2+ years of experience developing Microsoft .NET platform or similar software and/or related business systems analysis preferred.
Microsoft Visual Studio with C+ and/or C++ experience a plus.
Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours, valid driver's license, drug screen, physical, background and MVR check required.
